    I am stuck in two group buys now because of that issue so yes Changing the rules in that way will be totally fair

    Yes, I think that by making participants pay at registration, group
    purchases should be completed within a week at the most, just
    like when I first came here.

    Because only the most motivated and SERIOUS members of this
    forum will participate.

    I agree people shoould pay when join GB. I didnt buy more GBs cause it takes long time to product being available. So I prefer to wait and pay extra when product is already available to be delievered

    Hello,

    Yes, I understand your reaction.

    And that's the problem.
    Now, the majority of members prefer to wait until the product has
    been purchased and pay MORE, to be sure of getting it almost immediately.

    Which means that fundraising takes weeks. :(

    Wee need to find a solution :rolleyes:

    I think this is a good idea overall, however many may still join and won't pay at the end of the day...

    I'm on products that are taking months (especially on NT8), and I believe the best would be to automatically ban members who are not paying within the first 2 weeks (banned automatically by the system), and to add a filter that new members can not join the main list (a minimum of 1 purchase must be made to go into the main list), this should filter out a lot (just my 2 cents).

    Thanks for your message.

    I used to frequent Blackhat forums for a long time and when we
    made group purchases we had to pay in advance on almost all
    the forums.

    And I know other trading sites that also have group buys and it's
    the same thing: you pay when you join the list. Which seems
    perfectly normal to me. And it avoids the kind of drift we've seen
    here over the last few months with people not honouring their
    commitment.

    I think paying at the time of joining is the best solution, it shows commitment and encourages others to act fast. I support it fully.

    you don't know if there would be enough buyers. people just have to pay as soon as possible when fundraising starts.

    Hi,

    If there aren't enough buyers, it doesn't matter, as payment can be carried over to another product.

    And, for me, that's 100 times better than having dozens of phantom buyers who NEVER come back to pay.

    Or we need a radical solution: we stay as we are today, and if there's no payment within a week, we're banned for life.

    Because we need to ERADICATE the BAD PAYERS who are more and more numerous here.

    The problem is that members commit to one product, then 3 days
    later see another that interests them more and commit to it, then a
    3rd, then a 4th, then a 5th, etc...

    They commit to several products lightly, but that's not how it works
    here. When you commit to a product, you PAY for it.

    Whereas at the moment, when members commit to 5, 6, 10
    products, they pay for 1 or 2 (the ones they find most interesting)
    and play dead on the others.

    It's become intolerable.
