It's a business, and while no one is forcing us to pay, we choose to, I feel the current product delivery model is outdated. I've been a member for a long time, and in the past, group buys were processed quickly and products were released within days. Things have changed, and I believe it's time for the process to be updated.

I think buying directly from seller will be best for all EAs going forward, it will cost more obviously, but to avoid scam situations and getting future updates, buying directly will be best.
My understanding is that this used to happen when admin bought an EA from the MQL5 site, then cracked it to unlock it or used a .dll file to trick it into thinking it was licensed through MQL5 servers. but most the systems here I agree can be purchased directly from the seller and if its unlocked easier to distribute
